HyLife Celebrates Opening of Leroy Daycare Expansion

HyLife is proud to celebrate the official opening of the Leroy Early Learning Centre in Leroy, Saskatchewan. What was once a vision supported by community fundraising and partnership is now a reality—one that will benefit families for years to come.

The daycare expansion project, which HyLife supported with a $5,000 contribution, has now been brought to life, transforming childcare access in the region.

“It’s surreal. This has been a dream for quite a long time, to see all the community excitement and support is pretty heartwarming.” shared Chelsey Holt, Director of LeRoy Daycare Inc.

With the new 7,200 square foot facility now open, the daycare has expanded from just 20 childcare spaces to approximately 90—addressing a critical need for families in Leroy and surrounding areas.

Access to reliable childcare plays a vital role in building strong, sustainable communities. For many families—particularly in rural and agricultural regions—these services are essential in balancing work and home life. With more than 2,600 employees across its operations, HyLife understands firsthand how important childcare is in supporting both families and a strong workforce.

For HyLife, this project holds special significance. With team members and barn operations in the area, Leroy is more than just a location—it’s a community where employees live, work, and raise their families. Supporting initiatives like the daycare expansion reflects HyLife’s ongoing commitment to being a strong community partner and investing in the places it calls home.

Beyond increased capacity, the expansion is also creating meaningful economic impact. The new facility is expected to generate approximately 12 new jobs, while enabling more parents to rejoin the workforce thanks to improved access to childcare.
