Golfing and Premium Pork in Support of the Steinbach Pistons
HyLife was well represented at the Steinbach Pistons annual celebrity golf tournament August 22nd. Many HyLife employees paid to enjoy the day’s festivities, including HyLife’s President Claude Vielfaure, CEO Grant Lazaruk and COO Denis Vielfaure.
What made the event unique was the attendance of local celebrities that included the likes of Winnipeg Jets’ Alumni Thomas Steen and TSN Jets sports broadcaster Brian Munz to name a few. There were also a bunch of different activities and giveaways throughout the course with HyLife being a highlight for many in attendance.
“We saw golfers coming back from all corners of the golf course to get more ribs, that’s a good sign of a good product and good day,” said HyLife’s Certified Chef Dave MacPherson, on his highlight of the day.
MacPherson spent the day smoking HyLife’s herb high marbled ribs and a specially made pork belly appetizer on a stick with a pickled cucumber. Macpherson says it’s mostly trial and error as he gets to the perfected taste, but admits that working with HyLife’s product makes his job easy.
