HyLife Supports Local Fire Department’s Quest for Lifesaving Equipment
At HyLife, we value the strength and dedication of our local first responders. We understand that throughout this pandemic, while many stay home, emergency workers continue to be called upon to save lives and serve our communities.
As a small gesture of appreciation, HyLife has donated $5,000 towards Killarney Turtle Mountain Fire Department’s efforts to purchase new jaws of life equipment.
“Nine times out of ten, we have to respond to calls outside of town,“ shared Troy Cuvelier, Fire Chief, Killarney Turtle Mountain Fire Department.
“The best chance of survival is in the first hour. If the person can get medical attention, in the first hour they have the best chance of making a successful recovery. That is why upgrading life-saving equipment matters.”
Cori Bridgeman, HyLife Human Resource Generalist, based in Killarney had the opportunity to visit the firehall and personally thank Chief Cuvelier for the work his team does in the community.
“These 23 firefighters are on call and ready to respond 24-7. They risk their lives to help our neighbours, family and friends in times of need. As a HyLife employee, it makes me proud to be part of initiatives such as these,”

Chief Cuvelier echoed the pride that comes along with collaboration.
“I’m pretty proud of our community coming together, and everybody comes through at one point in time to help and get things done,” said Cuvelier, Fire Chief, Killarney Turtle Mountain Fire Department.
