There’s nothing we love more than supporting our local communities – it’s a fundamental part of who we are at HyLife. Most recently, we brought all of that enthusiasm to the hockey rink, cheering on the Neepawa Titans of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in one of their most attended games this season.
More than 200 HyLife employees took advantage of free tickets handed out at the Neepawa Pork Plant earlier in the week as a part of HyLife’s corporate sponsorship with the hockey club. The game drew a season-high attendance of 716 fans.
Our talented HyLife chefs took over the canteen, transforming it into a gourmet destination. The day’s menu starred our premium pork options: crispy Tonkatsu Bites (Pork Nuggets), succulent Smoked Sausage, and our signature mouth-melting Burnt Ends. Thrilled, we watched the community come back for seconds, and even thirds.
The best part about our culinary takeover? All the money generated was donated back to the Yellowhead Centre.
Adding to the evening’s excitement, we had the pleasure of watching a lucky fan make their way onto the ice during the first intermission, trying their hand (or rather, their stick) at winning Freshmart gift cards in our HyLife Pork Shoot to Win. Marc had a hard shot, but unfortunately that didn’t translate into hitting our targets. Better luck next time Marc.
