HyLife Named Business of the Year in Neepawa

HyLife is honoured to announce that we have been named Business of the Year by the Neepawa & District Chamber of Commerce.

This recognition reflects HyLife’s long-standing commitment to Neepawa, where our processing facility employs more than 1,700 people and plays a central role in the town’s economic vitality.

Growing Together

Over the past decade, Neepawa has become one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing centres. HyLife has been proud to support this growth by providing stable employment opportunities, welcoming newcomers and their families, and investing in local partnerships that strengthen the region.

Investing in Local Well-Being

HyLife’s impact extends beyond our operations. Through initiatives such as HyLife Fun Days, we have helped raise more than $1.7 million for local organizations across Manitoba. Locally, HyLife has supported the Neepawa Health Centre with a $250,000 donation, contributed to the Beautiful Plains Community Medical Clinic, and partnered in the development of the HyLife Back Forty recreational trail system.

We are also proud to support local youth athletics, including our partnership with the Neepawa Titans, helping foster teamwork, leadership, and opportunity for young athletes in the area.

In addition, we support area businesses by partnering with retailers such as Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op and Fresh Mart to provide HyLife Premium Pork directly to residents throughout the region.

A Culture of Care and Innovation

At the heart of HyLife’s success is our people. Our We Care program — including two dedicated team members in Neepawa — focuses on enhancing employee well-being through initiatives such as improved safety systems, designated parking for expectant mothers, and employee appreciation events across all shifts.

Our Continuous Improvement and Information Systems teams work together to implement practical innovations that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability — including water-saving systems that have reduced costs by approximately $100,000 to date.
