Behind every strong food company is a workforce that knows how to learn, adapt, and grow.

At HyLife, that growth happens every day; in barns, feed mills, transportation routes, processing areas, offices, training rooms, and across the many teams that help keep the company moving. It happens when employees learn a new skill, when trainers support a new team member, when leaders create pathways for development, and when people take pride in getting better at what they do.

That commitment is now being recognized on a provincial stage.

A Manitoba-Focused Recognition

HyLife has been named a recipient of the Workforce & Skills Development Recognition Award by Food Processing Skills Canada. The Manitoba-focused recognition acknowledges companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to workforce development, employee training, skills growth, and the continued strength of the food and beverage industry.

Supporting Growth Across the Business

Across its fully integrated operations, HyLife relies on skilled employees in many different roles. From animal care and feed production to transportation, processing, food safety, maintenance, administration, and leadership, each part of the business depends on people who are trained, supported, and ready to contribute.

Workforce development is about more than filling roles. It is about helping employees build confidence, grow their abilities, and see a future within the company. It also strengthens Manitoba’s food processing sector by supporting career pathways, technical knowledge, leadership development, and long-term industry growth.

HyLife is being recognized by Food Processing Skills Canada as a recipient of the Workforce & Skills Development Recognition Award.

“HyLife’s continued investment in its people and in workforce skills development demonstrates the kind of leadership that strengthens Manitoba’s food and beverage sector. We are proud to recognize HyLife for its commitment to building a skilled, resilient workforce and supporting the continued growth of our industry.” shared Jennefer Griffith, Executive Director of Food Processing Skills Canada.

Celebrating Manitoba’s Food and Beverage Industry

The award was presented as part of Manitoba Made Together, a summer celebration of Manitoba’s food and beverage industry hosted by Food & Beverage Manitoba and Food Processing Skills Canada. The event brought together manufacturers, industry partners, government representatives, workforce development leaders, and stakeholders from across the sector for an evening of networking, recognition, and celebration.

A Strong Year of Milestones

This recognition comes during a strong year of awards and milestones for HyLife, as the company continues to be acknowledged for leadership, business growth, employee development, and industry contribution.

From employees building skills on the floor to leaders helping teams grow, workforce development is part of how HyLife continues to move forward. It supports better operations, stronger teams, and meaningful career opportunities for employees across the business.

Investing in What Comes Next

At its core, this award is not only about programs or training hours. It is about people choosing to learn, leaders choosing to invest, and teams working together to build something stronger.

HyLife is grateful to Food Processing Skills Canada for this recognition and proud of the employees, trainers, and leaders who continue to strengthen the company and Manitoba’s food and beverage industry every day.
