Dustin Peltier Officially Named HyLife’s Corporate Chef
For Chef Dustin Peltier, great food has always started with a story.
It starts with the people who raise it, the farmers who grow it, the traditions that shape it, and the care that goes into every ingredient before it ever reaches the plate. That belief has guided Dustin throughout more than three decades in the culinary industry—and it is now at the heart of his new role as HyLife’s new Corporate Chef.

A Career Rooted in Passion and Connection
Chef Peltier’s journey in the culinary world is one of versatility and purpose. Prior to joining HyLife, he owned and operated Loaf and Honey, a high-end catering company known for crafting unique, personalized dining experiences. From intimate dinners to large-scale events, his approach focused on connecting guests to the story behind their food—often working directly with local farmers and producers to showcase the absolute best ingredients available.
“I’ve always believed the best food starts with strong relationships—with producers, with ingredients, and with the people you’re cooking for. That connection is what makes a meal memorable,” shared Chef Peltier.
The philosophy is simple: great food starts at the source. That belief has shaped his career and continues to guide his work today.
Honouring Tradition, Elevating Craft
Dustin’s passion for food extends beyond the kitchen and into the preservation of culinary traditions. After training under a Trappist monk, he learned the art of producing a centuries-old style of raw milk cheese—continuing a practice rooted in generations of craftsmanship.

A Global Perspective
Since joining HyLife, Dustin has already begun making an impact. He traveled to Japan to train alongside Chef Tsukasa Shinozaki and worked to refine premium techniques including elevating one of our most iconic dishes—tonkatsu.
The experience offered Dustin the opportunity to deepen his understanding of Japanese culinary expectations, product presentation, and the importance of consistency in delivering a premium pork experience.

Chef Peltier has also supported event in Mexico, where HyLife has recently partnered with major retailer HEB in launching their premium pork in more than 20 stores across the county.
Through connecting directly with customers and partners, he has helped bring HyLife’s premium pork to life through culinary experience.
Giving Back Beyond the Kitchen
Outside of his professional work, Dustin is deeply committed to giving back—an important reflection of HyLife’s core values. For more than 20 years, he has been involved with the “Ride for a Child’s Wish” charity, beginning as a volunteer and eventually stepping into a leadership role, where he has helped raise funds and fed an average of 800 people per day.
His dedication to community, combined with his passion for food, highlights the kind of leadership and character he brings to the HyLife team.
Looking Ahead
As Corporate Head Chef, Dustin will play a key role in showcasing HyLife’s premium pork through innovative recipes, global inspiration, and meaningful food experiences.

“I’m excited to work with our entire culinary team to showcase our premium product around the world,” shared Chef Dustin Peltier.
His ability to connect farm to fork—and people to the story behind their food—positions him perfectly to elevate how HyLife is experienced across the globe.
We are excited to welcome Chef Dustin to HyLife and look forward to the impact he will bring.
