HyLife recently welcomed a delegation from Taiwan to its pork processing facility in Neepawa, Manitoba,  highlighting the strong and growing agricultural partnership between Taiwan and Canada. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Manitoba’s pork industry, discuss global food supply chains, and explore opportunities for expanding the presence of Canadian pork in the Taiwanese market.

In 2025, approximately 38% of Taiwan’s imported pork originated from Canada, with a significant portion supplied from Manitoba. As demand for high-quality Canadian pork continues to grow in Taiwan, visits like this help strengthen trade relationships and highlight the production practices that support Manitoba’s reputation for safe, high-quality food.

During the visit, Director General Lawrence Yi-Peng Liang toured the HyLife Foods facility to learn more about the company’s integrated production system, food safety standards, and supply chain management. The tour provided a behind-the-scenes look at how HyLife delivers premium pork products to customers around the world.

Taiwan places a strong emphasis on food quality, safety, and traceability — values that closely align with HyLife’s approach to responsible production and global partnerships. Discussions during the visit also focused on opportunities to further strengthen agricultural trade between Taiwan and Manitoba.
