HyLife Game Night Entertains Neepawa Titans Crowd
What a night it was in Neepawa, Manitoba, Canada, on Sunday, January 22. A HyLife game night at the Yellowhead Centre between the Neepawa Titans and the Winkler Flyers was the place to be.
Delicious HyLifePork was served out of the canteen to all 842 fans in attendance and could be smelt throughout the entire building. Chef JP and his team ensured no one left hungry.
The Titans and Flyers battled to the end of a close first period. It was the Titans that came out with the lead 1-0.
As both teams left the ice, HyLife employee volunteers took to the ice to set up the shoot to win “Deliver Our Pork” game. One lucky fan got to take four shots and won gift cards to Neepawa’s Freshmart.
As the second period began, fans made sure to pass by the HyLife prize table in the lobby to get their ticket for the free prize draw of one HyLifePork Variety Box and one Freshmart gift basket.
The energy could be felt throughout the building as both teams continued to compete well into the third period. Winkler tied it at 2-2 late in the game and forced overtime. If the Titans scored the winning goal, the Yellowhead Centre roof might have blown off. But Winkler stole the show and scored the winning goal one and a half minutes into overtime.
Despite the result, everyone had a great night, and both teams put on a great game. Thank you to all that purchased and enjoyed HyLifePork. $2000 was raised and donated back to the Yellowhead Centre. All proceeds will go towards supporting everyday operations and future facility upgrades.
