HyLife Celebrates International Women’s Day

When she was young, growing up in Thailand, she dreamed of traveling and exploring the globe as a tourist. Tunyaluk Tongutaisri, who is also known as Ice, has certainly been on a journey. An extremely successful career, lead to packing her bags two years ago and moving to HyLife’s headquarters in Canada as our Vice President of Business Administration.

As we mark International Woman’s Day, a global celebration of the social-economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, we wanted to share a little more about Ice, one of HyLife’s Executive Management Team members.

She began her career as an auditor and has a CPA and an MBA. Ice credits a strong female leader who always led by example for empowering her to grow and take on challenging roles.

“I admire my direct report – she is a partner at my former company. She has a full set of leadership skills. She is very smart and knowledgeable. She leads by example. Not only “tell” us, but she also shows us “how”. She coaches rather than teaches. She is open to ideas. She can inspire her peers, her team,” said Ice.

Tongutaisri now aims to continue to carve the way for future diversity in agriculture.
