HyLife Fleet Team Celebrates Major Milestone with Grand Opening of New Facility

What began as a devastating loss has become a powerful story of growth, and collaboration. Our HyLife Fleet team and company leadership came together to celebrate the grand opening of a brand-new fleet shop, a project that was created after the former shop was lost in a fire. 

The new fleet shop is not only bigger, but it’s a complete transformation. Now home to more than 25 skilled team members, the facility operates at a higher capacity, providing service and maintenance to an impressive 870 assets across all HyLife locations, seven days a week.  

“This growth and success didn’t happen overnight. While the new facility was under construction, the fleet team adapted quickly and worked out of a temporary workspace. We extend a sincere thank you to every team member who continued to deliver excellent service under challenging conditions,” said Ron Schellenberg, Chief Supply Chain Officer.  

Key members of the team also took the initiative during the planning stages, visiting other fleet shops to gather ideas, learn best practices, and ensure the new facility would be able to support both current operations and future needs.  

To mark the official opening, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration at the new shop.  Speeches were shared, stories were told, and the excitement for what lies ahead was high. The day also featured a delicious lunch, prepared by our talented culinary team, giving everyone a chance to relax, connect, and reflect on how far we’ve come.  

“This new fleet shop is a symbol of what we can achieve together. It’s more than a building, it’s a milestone,” said Bryan Nichol, Senior Manager of Fleet Maintenance.
