On March 17th & 18th, the annual HyLife Fun Days event successfully returned to La Broquerie for two days full of upbeat activities. HyLife staff, sponsors, and volunteers came together once again and raised money for four local charities: Arts Forward, Steinbach Family Resource Centre, Headway, and Stars. This year, employees and their families participated in hockey and volleyball games at the HyLife Center and Arborgate School, enjoyed dynamic cultural performances, and most importantly, helped raise a total of $172,000 dollars as reported by HyLife Event Chair, Charlene Ramkissoon.
“We’ve been doing this for eight years now and we’re always surprised with the amount of support we get” noted Ramkissoon. “Every year our sponsors go the extra mile and turn HyLife Fun Days’ fundraising initiative into a reality.”
After the team-building activities, the event wrapped up with a well-attended social evening, which included a silent auction and grand prize draws. Having raised over $650,000 over the years, HyLife is already looking forward to next year as they will empower more charities and continue to help communities through HyLife Fun Days Event 2018.
