Grace Jimenea arrived in Canada on a cold February day in 2018, but it didn’t take long for her to warm to her new home.
The devoted mother of Gabriel, her ten-year-old son, left Misamis Oriental, Philippines, to pursue an opportunity with HyLife in Killarney, Manitoba. Trained as a Veterinarian, her knowledge of animal care quickly became an asset, and she has grown into an Assistant Manager role.
“My family is my strength. My son makes me recharge again. I want him to have a good life in Canada. As a parent, I want him to pursue what he wants for his future; right now, he wants to be an NHL player. He is into hockey since we came to Manitoba.”

“I like my work because I get to manage a team, and I have a love for animals. This opportunity is for me to learn and improve. Hopefully, my knowledge from this position will make me move even more; I have high hopes with HyLife. With my hard work, I know someday I will keep getting a big lift with my career,” shared Jimenea.
