HyLife has presented the first of two annual Volunteer of the Year Awards to Mitch Tetrault, Senior Manager of Procurement in La Broquerie. Nominated by their peers, award winners are people who inspire the spirit of volunteerism in others.

A standout individual who is always willing to help friends and co-workers, Mitch has been a key contributor in helping La Broquerie minor sports thrive.

In addition to coaching separate hockey and baseball teams for his two boys, Mitch has been on the La Broquerie Minor Baseball Committee since 2005. The Committee brought in the AA Bantam Provincials in 2017 and the AA Western Championship in 2018 for all levels (PeeWee, Bantam, and Midget). Both ran extremely well and received great praise from other provinces thanks to Mitch and the hard work of numerous volunteers on the ball diamonds over the last several years.

Mitch has also been an integral member of the HyLife Fun Days committee, an event that has raised over one million dollars for dozens of charities in the last decade.

HyLife donates $1,000 to a charity of the award winner’s choosing. A donation will be made to La Broquerie Minor Baseball in Mitch’s name.

HyLife will present the second Volunteer of the Year Award of 2019 to a Foods employee this weekend in Neepawa.
