HyLife was the recipient of ITOCHU’s Best Management of the Year Award.

ITOCHU has had minority ownership in HyLife since 2012. ITOCHU, headquartered in Japan, presents annual awards to recognize the hard work from approximately 300 organizations that they directly invest in. This year, HyLife is one of 6 organizations selected for the award.

The Best Management of the Year Award is for companies with outstanding management records that have contributed to the consolidated net income of The ITOCHU Group. Selection Criteria is contributed consolidated net income of 12.5 million CDN or more.

“I am both privileged and honored to receive the Best Management of The Year Award on behalf of our company,” says Grant Lazaruk, HyLife President & CEO. “We are excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead for HyLife.”

This is the first time HyLife has received this award, since companies with minority ownership by ITOCHU had not been subject to the award until last year.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without our strong team of employees,” adds Lazaruk. “Our vision as a company is to be the best Canadian food company in the world. We realize that we can’t do this without taking care of our employees, our customers, and our communities.”
