We are inviting everyone to come out for a Free community Pork BBQ on March 23rd.
HyLife Fun Days is a fundraising initiative that will feature two full days of hockey, volleyball, delicious pulled pork dinner, entertainment by Elvis and Johnny Cash impersonator Corny Rempel with the event capping off with family activities and community barbecue at the HyLife Centre in La Broquerie.
The past nine years the event has raised almost $825,000. This year, for the tenth anniversary we are aiming to raise $175,000 to break the one million dollar barrier. There will be great silent auction prizes along with three large raffle ticket prizes that include a $2900 Black Earth Smoker/BBQ, $2400 Outdoor Barkman FirePlace and $1000 Winnipeg Jets package that includes four lower bowl tickets along with a Jets Jersey.
This year we splitting the net proceeds between the following charities: Killarney Ag Society, Les P’tits Brisous, Steinbach Community Outreach and Local food banks in our regions.
