We’ve been busy touring across our communities this summer, making stops at fairs in Neepawa, MB, Windom, MN, Steinbach, MB, Mountain Lake, MN, Killarney, MB, and La Broquerie, MB. HyLife employee volunteers have helped bring smiles and excitement to each and every event through the joyful giving of balloons, tattoos, and face paint to children. In addition, the HyLife Pork Food Trailer has been the perfect addition offering exceptional HyLife Pork meal options to all.

Something special that we have been doing is engaging with our neighbors to learn more about why the place that they call home is special. A simple ‘What do you love about your community?’ has prompted countless wonderful testimonies. You may have even noticed the hashtag #HyLoveMyCommunity tied to our interviews while scrolling through social media.

Here are just a few of the many #HyLoveMyCommunity responses that we have received:

“I love my community. I grew up here moved away and came back. I love that you will always have someone to help you when there is a problem. You can count on people in this community.”
– Michelle from Steinbach

“We are from La Broquerie and also own restaurants in Steinbach. We love La Broquerie and our daughter goes to French school here.”
– Jenny and Gary from La Broquerie

“I love Windom with the small town atmosphere, the cute square, and great people. And it’s a great place to raise your children.”
– Jen from Windom

Our Next Stops:

  • Pioneer Days Parade – July 29 – Steinbach, Manitoba
  • Leroy Centennial Celebration – July 29-31 – Leroy, Saskatchewan
  • Cottonwood County Fair – August – Windom, Minnesota
  • Hanover Ag Fair – August – Grunthal, Manitoba

Giving back:

We value our partnerships with all of our communities. Most recently, we were pleased to give back more than $4,500 raised through our Food Trailer sales at the Neepawa Chamber Fair to the Neepawa Chamber of Commerce. We know these funds will directly support our local community and initiatives that matter.

“We are so grateful for the donation that HyLife Foods has made to the Neepawa & District Chamber of Commerce,” said the Chamber Board. “It allows us to have an impact on our local small businesses through our networking events like “Business After Five”, electoral forums and Business training and development workshops. This donation will enable us to work with businesses and non-profits like the Rotary Club and library to engage with the community at the fair and other opportunities.”
